From May 17 to 23, 2025, a delegation of senior executives from leading pharmaceutical companies in Brazil visited China, reflecting the deepening bilateral ties following Brazilian President Lula’s state visit to China from May 10 to 14. During the China-Brazil Business Seminar in Beijing, President Lula remarked, “Our partnership is unshakable. China needs Brazil, and Brazil needs China.” As two major developing nations and key emerging markets, China and Brazil have seen fast-growing economic cooperation across a wide spectrum of industries.
Against this backdrop, the Brazilian pharmaceutical delegation toured several benchmark pharmaceutical manufacturing sites built by Truking Technology across multiple Chinese cities, including Beijing, Jilin, Hunan, and Guangdong. The group also visited Truking Technology’s China headquarters in Ningxiang, Hunan, and its subsidiary in Changchun, Jilin.
On May 21, the delegation arrived at Truking’s headquarters in Ningxiang. This was a key stop on their itinerary, where they received a comprehensive tour of the facility and attended a technical exchange meeting. At the welcome dinner, Mr. Tang Yue, Chairman and President of Truking Technology, addressed the delegation: “If we look at the maps of Brazil and China, there are some natural pairings—Brasília and Beijing, São Paulo and Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro and Qingdao. These cities not only mirror each other in function and stature but also symbolize the brotherhood between our peoples.”
Mr. Tang recalled his visit to Brazil 17 years ago as a representative of China’s pharmaceutical equipment industry, where he met with local officials and explored the natural beauty of places like Iguaçu Falls, Rio’s beaches, and the Amazon rainforest. “The warmth of the Brazilian people and the stunning landscape left a lasting impression. Today, it is a great pleasure to welcome our Brazilian friends to China and Truking.”
He also highlighted Truking’s global expansion strategy, including the 2017 acquisition of Germany’s century-old Romaco Group. “We’ve built one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing bases with robust delivery capacity. Our portfolio spans active pharmaceutical ingredients, biopharmaceuticals, chemical drugs, gene therapies, traditional Chinese medicine, and medical aesthetics. International partners have described us as a ‘supermarket of pharmaceutical equipment’. We also provide full EPC services, including plant design, engineering, consulting, and validation.”
The Brazilian guests expressed high regard for Truking, emphasizing that geographic distance does not hinder strong collaboration between Brazil and China. One delegate remarked, “I visited Truking many years ago and was impressed by its capabilities. This return visit has been even more fruitful. I believe Brazil’s pharmaceutical sector will find more opportunities to collaborate with Truking and benefit greatly from it.”
In addition to the visit to Truking’s headquarters, the delegation also toured various pharmaceutical production lines implemented by Truking across Beijing, Changchun, Changsha, and Guangzhou, and held further technical discussions at Truking’s Jilin-based subsidiary.
